I think in times like this it gets very easy to get stuck on the negative-war, taxes, high rent, an increase of gas, and groceries, utilities.. You name it.

It’s also easy to complain when all of these things occur. I think to a large degree, we can all relate to many of these things happening right now.
I went to the barbershop recently. When I sat down in the chair, I greeted my barber. I said what’s up to him, and he said I can’t complain. I can, but I won’t. There’s power in that. There’s power in letting go. There’s power in stepping into a third person perspective and saying I acknowledge these issues, but I will not complain.
There are many things in this life that we cannot control. One being the current issue affecting the United States. Which is war. Sure you can sign up. But, I’m sure many of us may not want to take on that challenge. Myself included. And if you are one of those people willing to sign up to defend this country, I respect you to the highest degree.
Bruce Lee once said “Be Water, my friend”. This is simple. Water in most cases can be quiet, soothing, relaxing, and peaceful. With everything happening around us, we must incorporate this mantra into our daily lives.

The worst thing you can do in life when tragic moments occur is to stop all operations. The best thing we can do is keep going. To always strive to be our best selves. Kobe Bryant said it best. “The storm ends eventually”.

Ikigai. Have you ever heard of the term? It is a Japanese translation for purpose. The book Ikigai is written by Francesc Miralles and Hector Garcia. The book talks about community, diet, and exercise as primary pillars to happiness, peace, and longevity in this lifetime.

Community can be formed in many ways. Book clubs. Churches. A run club. A boxing club. Co-ed sports. The list goes on and on. Do these things weekly! Meet people. Interact. Get out there. My pastor always tells us in church that you cannot get feel involved if you don’t try!

Dieting is hard! I get it. Find your favorite grain, your favorite protein, and favorite vegetable and be creative with your diet regiment! Drink water. Find a cheat day in the week to help you. Find an accountability partner to help you on your journey!
Exercise. Super important. Walk. Get steps! Go to the gym. Work out at home. Hire a personal trainer. Find your community. Find your purpose to why you want to work out and get in shape!
Many of these things distract us from the harshness of the reality we are set in. It’s better than sitting around doing nothing, and worrying about things we cannot control. Be still like water. A little bit of change comes in handy from time to time.
From,
Mr. Creator
